Velatura is let whole, so a celebration here has the estate to itself: twelve of you in residence, up to sixty at dinner on the lawn, and a team that has done this many times and still enjoys it.
01What we host
Small, unhurriedand entirely yours.
We host one celebration at a time and no more than a few a year, mostly in May, June and September, when the evenings are long and the lawn is green.

Forty, sixty, eighty: a week for the family in residence and a long dinner for friends who come up from Pienza for the night.

Yoga, writing or a leadership team: the library becomes a workroom, Graziella feeds everyone and the valley does the rest.
02Where it happens
A lawn, a loggiaand a courtyard for the toasts.
There is no marquee to put up and nothing to hide: the house was built around outdoor rooms. If it rains, dinner moves under the arches of the loggia and into the library.

Chiara is your contact from start to finish. For weddings we work with independent planners from Florence and Siena, or with yours.

04The practical part
What to knowbefore you ask.
Every celebration is quoted on its own. These are the starting points, so the first conversation can be about the day itself.
- StayThe house for at least 3 nights from April to June and in September and October, and 7 nights in July and August.
- Event feeFrom €3,500, for the lawn, furniture, lighting, our staff until midnight and the clean-up the next morning.
- Food and wineDinner from €140 per person with Graziella and caterers we trust for larger numbers. Wine from the cellar at cellar prices.
- MusicOutside until half past eleven, out of respect for the neighbours, then inside the library for as long as you can.
- CeremoniesCivil weddings take place in Pienza’s town hall, ten minutes away. Symbolic ceremonies and blessings can be held on the lawn.
- Other guestsGuests who are not staying sleep in Pienza and San Quirico d’Orcia; we suggest places and arrange a minibus at the end of the night.
