Six suites, six views of the valley.

Each suite takes two guests and has its own bathroom, linen woven in Prato and windows that frame a different part of the valley. They are spread across the old farm buildings, so every couple has a door of its own.

An open window in La Torre looking onto cypresses and fields

I · in the dovecote tower

La Torre

The top two floors of the old dovecote, reached by a stone staircase that winds up the inside of the tower. You sleep on the upper floor under the roof timbers and bathe on the one below, where a deep stone bath sits between two windows.

There are windows on three sides: the cypress drive to the east, Monte Amiata to the south and, on a clear evening, the lights of Pienza to the north-east. It is the suite couples ask for first.

The terrace looks south-west over the vines towards Montalcino. Breakfast can be brought up here if you ask the night before.

La Loggia

Three arches separate this ground-floor suite from the lavender garden. Leave the doors open in June and the lavender comes in; close the linen curtains and the room goes cool and quiet.

La Loggia is the only suite with step-free access from the parking to the bed and into the shower, and it has room for a cot.

Il Granaio

Where the estate kept its wheat. The walls are a metre thick, so the suite stays cool in August without the air conditioning, and the two deep windows look straight down the cypress drive.

The beds can be made up as twins, which is why families with older children usually put them here.

La Limonaia

The glasshouse where the lemon trees spent the winter, now a garden suite a few steps from the pool. Tall glazed doors run the length of the room, with linen curtains for the morning sun.

There is a shower inside and another outside, behind a stone wall covered in jasmine. The lemon trees still come in for the winter, to the room next door.

VI · in the olive mill

Il Frantoio

The old press room, with the granite millstone still in place in the sitting room and a fireplace that earns its keep from November to March. The bedroom is up three steps, under a vaulted brick ceiling.

The bathroom has a stone bath and a separate shower. With the sitting room it is the suite people choose for a longer winter stay, and it has room for a cot.

In every suite

The same care,six different rooms.

Linen and towels are changed twice a week, the suites are made up every morning, and the fridge is filled with water and wine from the valley before you arrive.

The house sleeps twelve, plus two children under three in cots. There are no sofa beds and no extra beds, so twelve is the most we can welcome to stay.

Exclusive use

All six suites, one party, one key.

Velatura is let whole, so you decide who sleeps where.
